Helmuth F%C3%B6rster

Helmuth Frster was a highly decorated General der Flieger in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He served as military governor of the Germanoccupied territory of Serbia fromApril toJune 1941. Helmuth Frster was captured by Allied troops in May 1945 and was released in 1947.
